Interoperability

NWPHO are commited to acheiving interoperability with partners involved in Public Health Intelligence, both within the North West region and Nationally

Our definition of Interoperability is:

Interoperability is about communication: it is system driven but user orientated. The goal should be to connect diverse technical systems to enable direct information exchange in a way that allows users to successfully search and retrieve, or otherwise interact with, information in a meaningful way and have confidence in the results. This can only be achieved by having rules that govern the structure, order and content of the messages that are used for the communication.
