Who can use HealthGIS?

HealthGIS is a web-based mapping tool intended for use by anyone and will be particularly useful for professionals working in public health, environmental health, Strategic Health Authorities, Primary Care Trusts, voluntary sectors, local government and related agencies, e.g. police.

What do I need to use HealthGIS?

In order to use the HealthGIS you will need to install a scaleable vector graphics [SVG] viewer You can download the viewer from Adobe http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install


HealthGIS works almost instantaneously, however first use there may be a slight delay whilst SVG the relevant information onto your own PC. This download CANNOT harm your computer. It is the same technology that is used by the Office for National Statistics on the Census 2001 site.
